Online bachelor’s degrees highly ranked by US News and World Report
Washington State Global Campus ranked in the top 5% of best online bachelor degree programs according to the 2017 survey by US News and World Report. The WSU Global Campus was #15 in a total group of 311 colleges and universities that offer online degrees. US News and World Report also ranked the online MBA at WSU as #27.
The magazine ranked online bachelor degrees by student engagement, faculty credentials and training, peer reputation, and student services and technology. The university received a total score of 87, placing it in the top five percent.
The Global Campus at WSU currently offers 10 undergraduate and 12 graduate degrees, and a number of certificates. A new program that will be of interest to business students is the new Bachelor of Science in Data Analytics that will launch in fall 2017.
Same tuition for MBA for in state and out of state students
The executive online MBA program that is designed for students who have many years of business experience has the same tuition for both in state and out of state students. For the 2017 year, the total tuition is $11,370. The cost per credit for part time students is $1137.
The regular MBA has a total tuition cost per year of only $3750, and the cost per credit for part time students is $750.
The Carson College of Business is accredited by the AACSB
An important consideration when earning an online business degree – either a bachelor’s or master’s – is that the business program is known for high quality. A good indicator of educational quality today is if the business program is accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB).
The AACSB accreditation process is very thorough, as program evaluators from the AACSB spend a significant time on campus and review all aspects of the business programs. Some of the factors they evaluate include:

Carson College of Business Top Ranked by Military Times for Vets
WSU’s Carson College of Business was recognized in 2016 by the Military Times as one of the best schools for military veterans. The online MBA program also was specifically recognized for its dedicated work with men and women students in the US military.
WSU features a dedicated military support staff that helps online veteran students with the support they need during enrollment as well as the program itself. The university also helps veterans get tuition assistance and possibly utilizing their GI Bill benefits. Undergraduate online students will pay a higher per credit amount than in state residents. For 2017, full time in state undergraduate students pay $4918 per semester, while non-residents pay $5693 per semester.
Many online universities have the same tuition for both in state and out of state students.
High Acceptance Rate for Undergraduates
Online data states that Washington State University accepts nearly 80% of undergraduates who apply. It also is ranked only as the #7 university in the state of Washington, and the Startclass rank is only $376 in the country.
That said, the online business programs are highly ranked, and the online WSU Global Campus has a strong reputation for quality, as does the Carson Business School.
