It offers a bachelor of science in computer science that requires 120 hours of study. It provides students with a broad overview of the computer science discipline, and focuses on fundamental computer science topics that can be used in any situation or industry.

The BS in computer science at the University of Alabama follows these educational objectives that graduates should attain within several years of graduation:
