Alabama is seeing above average job growth in engineering and technology. For example, the city of Huntsville also known as Rocket City is home to a NASA flight center and an arsenal for the US Army. It has been a center of technology since the 1950s when the Army first sent a group of scientists there to boost the space program for the United States.
