Ohio Campus-Based Computer Science Degrees

The following list shows the number of campus-based colleges offer Computer Science degrees throughout Ohio:

Ohio State University offers a bachelor of science in computer science engineering, a bachelor of science in computer information systems, and a bachelor of arts in computer information systems. The bachelor of science degrees will prepare you for a variety of computer science careers; the computer science parts of both programs are the same. The major difference is that the bachelor of science in computer science engineering requires you to take more science, math and engineering. The bachelor of science in computer information systems mandates more general education classes that require you to take a foreign language.

The bachelor of arts program allows you to have more flexibility in the courses you choose, including a variety of computer science classes. This bachelor’s degree requires you to pinpoint a field related to computer science that offers a strong possibility for computing applications. You will need to take several classes in the related field as the introductory and advanced levels. The bachelor of arts requires fewer courses in advanced computing. Both the bachelor of science and bachelor of arts degrees are offered by the Fisher College of Business.
