One and two year MBA programs offered
There are several MBA programs offered. The most popular is the two year MBA. This is one of the most highly respected degrees in the world, and students in the program average five years of business experience. Current students come from many work and academic fields, such as finance, accounting, marketing, military, volunteer work and engineering.
If you are a busy professional and want to get your degree faster, consider the one year MBA program. Applicants to this program must have coursework in statistics and financial accounting. This program is a good fit for professionals who want to continue working in their current field or industry while getting more skills and to network at one of the best MBA programs in the country. After you go to accelerated summer sessions, one year MBA students go to school side by side with the two year students.
Another option is the dual Master of Business Administration and Master of Science in Business Analytics. This is a desirable two year degree program that will provide you with the skills you need to lead in business and data systems.
Last, the executive MBA program is for experienced business professionals who want to take their classes primarily on the weekends in either Chicago or South Bend.
Business school offers the Interterm Intensive
An unusual aspect of the MBA program is the Interterm Intensive. This is a week long break in the middle of each semester where students work with executives from major corporations such as Boeing, GE and Starbucks to find solutions to real business challenges. This is excellent real world experience that most other programs do not offer.
Merit-based fellowships are available for many students
If you get into the MBA program at Notre Dame, there is a good chance you will receive a merit-based fellowship. More than 65% of one year MBA students get a fellowship. Recipients are chosen for fellowships based upon their GPA, work experience, standardized test scores, personal statement and letters of recommendation.
The fellowship pays for part of the tuition of the program, in exchange for being an active and engaged member of the business education community at Notre Dame.
Notre Dame also is a sponsor school for the Forte Foundation, which is intended to help women to launch into productive business careers. Fellows in this program are well known for their academic aptitude, leadership and business potential.
Mendoza College of Business is accredited by the AACSB
The College of Business has maintained its accreditation by the AACSB for many years. The AACSB has long been recognized around the world as the top accreditation agency for business education. Its esteemed accreditation has been earned by fewer than 5% of all business programs in the world. The business college first received this accreditation in 1962.
When you have graduated from the MBA program, you will be able to show employers that you graduated from a highly regarded program that is accredited by the AACSB.
