The University of Dayton is a private university that was founded in 1850. Its total enrollment is 8,330 at the undergraduate level. It is currently ranked the #124th best national university according to US News and World Report. Online MBA is accredited by the AACSB

The most well respected accreditation agency for business education programs is the AACSB. It has been around since 1916. The agency only has accredited fewer than 10% of business programs in the world. The University of Dayton’s MBA programs are AACSB accredited. You can have confidence that your MBA will be seen as a high quality degree by potential hiring companies. This is very important because if you are going to spend the time and money for this degree, you want to know that it a well respected MBA.

If you have a solid foundation in business basics, you may be able to leverage that knowledge and get your MBA faster. Also, if you possess a recent undergraduate business degree, you may be able to be admitted to the one year advanced standing MBA program.

To qualify, you must have earned the bachelor’s in business in the past seven years, and have the ability to take 7.5 credits per semester. If you are admitted, you can waive up to 15 credit hours of preparatory MBA courses.

University has low overall score in US News Rankings

The US News and World Report rankings for the University of Dayton are relatively low; the university has a total score of 45 out of 100. It also is only ranked as the #124th best national university. These rankings suggest this school is not highly regarded at least in comparison to many other programs. Other schools in the state are ranked higher, such as Miami University (#78) and Ohio State (#54).

On a related note, the online MBA program is unranked in US News and World Report. Therefore it is difficult to compare the quality of the program to its competitors.

Immersions are required

All MBA students must attend at least two immersions, one of which is on campus in the first year. Others occur at other sites; there is one in Portland, OR in June 2018 and another in San Jose CA in September 2018.

The immersions are very valuable parts of the Dayton MBA experience, but they can be challenging for some students to attend.

The first immersion in Dayton is about servant leadership. This immersion teaches you how servant leadership merges with business knowledge to help you to increase your success in business.

Live course structure

When you take your online MBA at the University of Dayton, many of the courses are live. This means you will have set course times when you will be in class with your classmates. This can be good in a way because it allows you to get to know other students better. But students who have busy schedules may have difficulty attending live courses. Some online MBA programs have mostly recorded classes so students can view them on their own schedule.
